GeoComputing Group and Leostream have integrated the Leostream remote desktop access platform into GeoComputing’s RiVA geotechnical computing platform.
This collaboration aims to enhance oil and gas workflows by providing a highly efficient and customised computing environment.
The integration focuses on improving productivity and accuracy, allowing tasks to be completed more swiftly.
RiVA, developed by GeoComputing, is a comprehensive hardware and software solution tailored for the exploration and production (E&P) industry.
It combines embedded storage, a shared parallel file system, virtualised servers and workstation management.
The system can be deployed on-premises, in a private cloud or as a fully managed service by GeoComputing.
GeoComputing Group head of business development Jay Kirby said: “The Leostream platform is an essential element of RiVA to provide E&P employees with security, reliability and power for complex workloads, from anywhere, on any device.”
“Leostream was built to accommodate sophisticated environments and applications including high performance/low latency and advanced visual requirements like geospatial mapping, imaging, 3D rendering and modelling.”
GeoComputing created RiVA to address challenges such as insufficient performance, complex work environments, large data sets and high costs.
